Are you looking to pursue a senior leadership role in public horticulture? Advance your leadership journey by applying or nominating a candidate to be a part of our 2022–23 Fellows cohort.
A unique leader-development program, our tuition-free, 13-month Fellows Program is a residential working and learning experience tailored to further develop high-potential individuals’ leadership skills while heightening their self-awareness. During the program, Fellows delve into topical leadership-related issues and learn from thought leaders across a spectrum of professions.
The program also features a monthly stipend, housing, and individualized opportunities for global leader development in the field of public horticulture.
Central to the mission of the Fellows Program is leader education. After an introspective onboarding process, Fellows learn from local and regional thought leaders through a cultural immersion process and via access to executive coaches and mentors. They also complete coursework on a range of topics relevant to today and tomorrow’s public horticulture leaders, from nonprofit management to strategic planning.
The program concludes with a two-month field placement assignment and the presentation of a final, collective cohort project that meaningfully contributes to the public horticulture leadership conversation, as well as an induction into the Society of Fellows alumni group.
