BCARM forum: Collections Management
Our guest speakers include Patricia Malcom from Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) and Amy Downie from RBGV.
Note with time differences between Aus/NZ and the UK, we will be holding the online forum at 5pm AEDT on Thursday 7 November.
We also will record the session if you are unable to attend live.
Patricia Malcolm will be taking us through the ins and outs of BGCI data tools, in particular PlantSearch and GardenSearch.
During the session we will learn how to update your garden’s profile in GardenSearch, and how to use PlantSearch to target conservation efforts.
Patricia is Head of Membership and Conservation Services at BGCI, and has for the past 3 years, worked closely with gardens across the world providing mentorship and support through BGCI’s Accreditation scheme; providing small grants through the Global Botanic Garden Fund and other services such as BGCI’s data tools and training courses available to BGCI member gardens.
Amy Downie is a Horticulturist with the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne and is presenting to us on ‘Escarpment Horticulture: Conserving threatened species in a challenging location’.
Amy looks after the Grey Garden and Camellia Collections within RBGV and combines her passion and knowledge in developing this challenging space.
Hope to see you online for our final forum for 2024!
