Lismore Botanic Gardens Week event

Relax at the Lismore Rainforest Botanic Gardens and experience the beauty of the Big Scrub subtropical rainforest. Wander through lush landscapes full of unique native plants suitable for your home garden. Strolling through the Gardens with a guide or on a self-guided walk, you’ll learn about the delicate balance of plant ecosystems and the vital role gardens play in conservation. Native plants will be available for sale. Sample a delicious morning tea while viewing the educational displays. Perfect for nature lovers, families, and anyone curious about the wonders of the botanical world – a peaceful morning spent in a rainforest is an unforgettable journey into plant biodiversity.

Some of the walks and the Visitors Centre are accessible, and pram- and wheelchair-friendly. 

The terrain is mixed, so please wear sturdy footwear.  

This event is being hosted by Friends of the Lismore Rainforest Botanic Gardens. The Friends manage and maintain the Gardens, supported by Lismore City Council. Established in 1997, first planting took place in 2002 and is already well developed. Visit the six rainforest rooms, Useful Plants Garden, Sensory Garden, Palm Gully, Wilson’s Park Species Garden and the majestic Hoop Pine Forest, with its labyrinth.
