The BGANZ Early Career Award offers $500 to aspiring professionals in the botanic garden sector to support a valuable opportunity to further their training and development.
It is open to all BGANZ Institutional Members who are within the first three years of their employment. This includes employees from any department or role within the organisation, such as education, marketing, research, or horticulture.
The highly competitive award can be used to pursue a variety of professional development opportunities, including (but not limited to):
Training courses (online or in-person)
Conference or seminar attendance
Study trips or travel to botanic gardens, relevant institutions, groups, or individuals
Field and collection trips
These opportunities may be based in any country, including Australia and New Zealand.
The award provides early-career professionals with the chance to gain new skills, broaden their knowledge, and build a stronger foundation for their careers in botanic gardens.
