Botanic Gardens Visitor Report

This research, conducted by University of South Australia (soon to become Adelaide University) in partnership with BGANZ, aimed to provide valuable insights into who visits botanic gardens, why they visit, what they value most, and what offerings could strengthen visitor appeal and drive future growth. Based on data from 2,208 visitor surveys across 17 participating botanic gardens from Australia and New Zealand, the study establishes key benchmarks for service quality, visitor satisfaction, and engagement. These indicators give gardens a data-driven foundation for future planning, visitor experience design, and operational improvement.
