Influence and Action: Botanic Gardens as Agents of Change will explore how botanic gardens can play a greater role in shaping our future. With accelerated loss of biodiversity across the globe, increased urbanisation, population growth and climate change, our need to work together to find new solutions for the future has never been greater.

Come together in Melbourne for 7GBGC, experiencing real people and real gardens for this face-to-face congress.

The Congress offers a series of optional field tours on Sunday 25 and Monday 26 September as well as a dedicated Education and Engagement Day held at the Melbourne Gardens on Monday 26 September. This will be followed by the main Congress Program held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) from Tuesday 27 – Thursday 29 September 2022 where inspiring presenters will lead engaging workshops, panel discussions and symposia for you to enjoy. You’ll have the chance to explore the latest products and services showcased in the Congress Exhibition.

You will hear from outstanding leaders in the global community such as:

  • Ms Carmel Mbizvo – South African National Biodiversity Institute, South Africa
  • Mr Jefa Greenaway – Greenaway Architects, Australia
