The Longwood Gardens’ Fellows Program is a unique, year-long leadership accelerator designed to prepare high-potential professionals for high-impact roles at public gardens, both in the United States and abroad. During the fully funded program, Fellows delve into topical leadership-related issues and are immersed in a two-month externship at a partner garden.
Continuing Longwood Gardens’ mission of training horticulture professionals, the Fellows Program supports the future of public gardens through this investment in leadership development for the sector at large.
Fellows will have ample opportunity to refine their leadership skills and are exposed to thought leaders and content – spanning topics from organisational behaviour and nonprofit management to strategic planning and volunteer management.
The Program’s aim is to create the next generation of senior public gardens professionals. Successful applicants demonstrate a high potential for professional growth and are endorsed by garden professionals.
